Outfitting

All of our rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable provincial (PST) and federal (GST) taxes.

Reservations & Deposits

We recommend advanced reservations to guarantee your booking of gear and canoes. We do our best to accommodate same-day rentals but will be limited to available supplies. We take full payment, including applicable taxes (12%), upon booking your gear and canoes. We do have the option for a full refund granted you notify us by email (info@bowronlakelodge.com) within the specified time frame. Please note that we are completely off grid, so we do not have regular phone service. Since you will likely get our voicemail, please send us an email or it can be 7-10 business days before we are able to respond.

We will confirm your reserved items and then complete payment via our secure e-commerce system. Once payment is received your rental equipment is guaranteed.

Please, for your own safety, DO NOT email your credit card information to us.

Changes

If you need to make a change to your reservation, we will be happy to help. We do offer this service at $10 per change, if you are adding more equipment to your booking, we will wave this fee.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your paid for reservation, please be sure to do so within the described time frames by emailing us as soon as possible at info@bowronlakelodge.com.

The following refund schedule applies to all bookings/cancellations:

  • 60+ days before arrival: Full refund except $50 cancellation fee
  • 59-30 days before arrival: 80% refund except 20% cancellation fee
  • 29-0 days before arrival: No refund*

*No refunds are available for bookings with canoe or kayak carts only.

We understand that sometimes situations and plans can change last minute. If you do not meet the above time frame criteria but have extenuating circumstances, please email us and we will try to work with you to agree on a suitable outcome; however, it will be Bowron Lake Lodge’s discretion to offer equivalent credit for a reschedule booking or otherwise. We are a small family business and we thank you in advance for your understanding.

To make cancellations or changes, reach us at info@bowronlakelodge.com.

Group Discounts

We are strong advocates for getting out into the backcountry and, for this reason, would like to extend special rates for Scout Troops, church groups, school trips, and other non-profit adventurers. Please email us at info@bowronlakelodge.com to find out our group rates.

Responsibility and Damages

We ask you treat our rented items as your own valued possessions, taking care to use our gear only as they are intended for. If you need direction on how to use any of the rented gear, we will be happy to show you prior to your departure, but are under no obligation to rent the said item if you do not show competence. While in your care, you are responsible for our equipment and will be charged the full replacement value for items lost or damaged. We require a credit card number as security for all rentals/outfitting items.

Payment

We accept VISA, MasterCard, most Debit Credit Cards, and Cash.

Liability Wavier

As paddling involves inherent risk, all renters must sign a release of liability waiver as the leader of your group and are responsible for the safety and actions of all persons in that group.

Late Arrivals

If for some reason you will be delayed from your original arrival time or date, please let us know by emailing. We will work with you to make another plan for receiving your rented items.

Returns

Once you have completed the paddle of the Bowron Lakes, you will land on our shore. Stand up and stretch, you did it! Come up to the office and check in with our staff, and tell us about your adventure! We offer free transport for you back to your vehicles parked up at the registration centre. The rented gear can remain on our beach, but it is mandatory to clean our equipment. There is a cleaning station on the beach to clean and rinse off canoes and kayaks. We will charge a cleaning fee for items returned with failure to do so.
